The story

"ABOVE THE EMERALD"

Above the Emerald centers on a stingray moving through mint-green Gulf shallows. Its broad wingspan fills much of the frame, and a dark shadow follows across the rippled sand below. A soft edge of white surf enters near the bottom, adding another layer to the water's color and texture. The overhead view makes the ray's outline clear while giving the living subject an almost abstract setting.
